ABOVE ALL: The Lost Boys Code is to work as a family. We take pride in the fact that we attempt to tackle the world of Vana'diel as brothers-in-arms, but we also take more pride in the fact that we do not have to have everything done for us. Accomplishments in the game are that much more sweet when they have truly been earned. Please see Rule 4 for more details.
1) You must be 18 or over. No exceptions. This rule was voted on by the entire linkshell, as most of us are working adults and sometimes approach adult topics within discussion.
2) You must have an open mind. If you are easily offended by subjects such as homosexuality, fetishes, or different religions, this LS is probably not the place for you. We are not a PG-Rated LS, and we support free speech and free role-play.
3) You must have some previous RPG experience.
4) No MPKing, overcamping, or player harrassment. If we see it, hear about it happening, or even hear you planning something, you're out. We don't accept any behavior that would get you thrown in GM Jail.
5) No Gil Selling/Buying. Selling gil online is prohibited by SE, as is buying it online. Make your money in the game, folks. We don't support cheaters.
6) No Gil Begging. Our members often help each other out if they're in need, but we do not support begging for gil from other players. Just don't do it.
7) Asking for help will get you help, not a whipping boy. A pet peeve of the group is people asking for power-leveling. As a rule, the Lost Boys are stubborn and do things on their own. That isn't to say we won't help. There are plenty of challenges in the game that require some assistance, like getting to Jeuno the first time, or getting your AF gear, what-have-you. However, if you want help getting a quest done, don't expect to be the level 10 guy with a party of level 50s walking you around. There really is a benefit to doing things yourself. On that note, should others assist you in some way, like walking someone to Jeuno, don't expect that higher-levels will do everything for you. More often, they will simply guard and keep you from harm while you lead the way.
8) Abide by Roleplay Standards You must abide by the linkshell's roleplay standards. This means staying IC (In Character) as much as possible, with the exception of using ( ) for out of character speech. This also means abiding by the physical and natural laws of Vana'diel in your roleplay. (e.g. Pretending to be the Lord Zeus, King of the Gods, bent on raining hellfire upon Bastok.) Finally, this means knowing and remembering the difference between IC and OOC (Out of Character) and attempting to keep the two seperate.
